The salt water runs through the electrolysis cell, where a weak current is added, and the chlorine is produced. When the chlorine enters the pool, it kills algae and bacteria, and evaporates like the chlorine you use now, but it leaves the salts in the pool, which are then used again to produce chlorine
Salt generator
With a salt generator, you also have an effective method for keeping the pool free of algae and bacteria. However, you will still have chlorine in your pool, because the salt generator converts salt into natural chlorine (sodium hypochlorite). Nevertheless, you have advantages, because the natural chlorine does not irritate skin and eyes, and it can neither be smelled nor tasted.
