The purpose of the hygro/thermometer is to show humidity (hygrometer) and temperature (thermometer) in the sauna. The gauges react very slowly to changes depending on the massiveness of the sensors, but show the conditions in the sauna with reasonable accuracy. If the values of the gauges do not seem to be correct, the reading can be calibrated with a known humidity and temperature. The hygrometer shows the relative humidity as a percentage. Maximum humidity can be 100%. The gauge in the display shows 100% humidity when the hygrometer is wrapped in, for example, a damp, warm towel for 3-5 minutes. When the hygrometer's display has stabilized, you can adjust the needle with a screwdriver on the back of the gauge so that the indicator shows 100%. After the adjustment, the hygrometer shows a lower humidity percentage with the accuracy characteristic of the gauge. For calibration of the thermometer, you need a reliable reference thermometer that reacts quickly to temperature changes. Use two thermometers for calibration at a temperature that corresponds to the one you want to check. When the displays of both gauges have stabilized, adjust the pointer so that it shows the same value as the reference thermometer. After adjustment of the thermometer, temperatures are displayed with the accuracy characteristic of the thermometer.
